We (no pluralis majestatis :-) ) devloped a Perl/Tk based emulator for a hypothetic but yet well documented CPU which proved to be an efficient tool for teaching machine programming and computer architecture. The tool will be publicly available until the start of the Belfast YAPC so participants may play with it, extend it, etc.
